Vermonter Takes The Helm at Soda Club USA
Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 08:36AM A Vermonter recently took over the helm at Soda Club USA, a distributor of home carbonation systems that are popular outside the U.S. and are a new concept in the U.S. market. David Rachlin, formerly of Vermont Water Buffalo dairy and Ben & Jerry’s, told me about his new position with Soda Club and I just had to check it out. Confession time: I am a seltzer addict with a 2-can a day habit (okay, sometimes more – but at least I gave up diet soda!). David says I can reduce my carbon footprint, have fewer cans to return for deposit, and save money every week by buying a home carbonation system that will turn my tap water into seltzer. What a concept! You can check it out at their web site. The company's office is in New Jersey but this seems to be a business that potentially could relocate to Vermont. David reports that the company's Logistics and Administrative offices will remain in Cherry Hill, NJ and he plans to establish a Sales and Event Marketing office for the company here in Burlington. In the meantime David is commuting to New Jersey and returning home to his family in Vermont on the weekends. I wish him the best with this new position and I look forward to following the growth of SodaClub USA.
