Vermont Natural True Soap Grows Nationally
Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 09:20AM My friend Janice Shade at True Body Products is proving that Vermont is a great place to launch and produce a natural consumer product for the national market. Her company True Body Products created and sells True Soap, a simple all-natural bar soap for the general consumer market, priced like the national brand soaps in the grocery store. What a concept! It's no surprise Janice came up with such a smart product and it's taking off with national sales. She has experience in product management from her years with Seventh Generation, Proctor & Gamble and Welch's. Her MBA from Yale doesn't hurt either. True Soap is manufactured by TwinCraft in Winooski, Vermont. TwinCraft is another Vermont success story with a strong track record of manufacturing bar soap for private label customers like The Body Shop. True Soap, conceived, designed and manufactured in Vermont, is part of Vermont's growing "green" business sector. True Soap now is available not only in Vermont (at Healthy Living, City Market and Shelburne Supermarket, to name a few) but also at specialty grocery stores outside Vermont, at Whole Foods in the northeast region, and at Fred Myer (a division of Kroger) in the pacific northwest. Kudos to Janice and to her colleagues at True Body Products, including my friends on the company's board of directors. Janice plans to add more True Body products soon. You can follow the company's progress at the True Body web site or on Facebook.
